We are a mother and daughter team based in Bury (on the Manchester/Lancashire border) with over 50 years design
and dressmaking experience between us. Both of us wore hand-made dresses of our own creation at our own weddings,
one back in 1969!
Our specialism lies in making individual, hand-crafted wedding dresses to your exact
requirements. Vintage and retro styles are very popular, and over the years we have made Celtic,
Greek Goddess, Medieval, Victorian, Art Deco, Hollywood glamour and 1950s style gowns - even
wedding dresses inspired by styles seen in films and music videos!
We always take time to listen to your ideas, offering advice and suggestions if requested, so that we
can create the dress of your dreams. It is so lovely to hear our brides say, “My dress is exactly the way
I imagined it to look!” and to know that they will feel fabulous on the big day.
To assure you of our personal attention we operate on an individual, appointment-only basis.
As we work from home, there is a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that is totally private and free from interruptions.
At your first (free, no-obligation) appointment, after much consultation looking at designs, fabric books and samples
etc, a detailed sketch and estimate will be provided.
Then you have time to go home and consider. Should you decide to go ahead a 25% deposit secures your order. Don’t
worry if you’re unsure of what you want, some designs grow and develop as they go along, and we can help. We’ve made
hundreds of dresses and have lots of experience...
